On November 26, 2022, Caribbean Cigars Corporation N.V., the Exclusive Distributor of t Habano, S.A., for some countries of Central America and the Caribbean, held a special ¨Meeting¨ for the enthusiasts of what is considered the world’s best cigar: the Habano, in Willemstad, Curazao

The event, attended by 35 aficionadosamong them franchisees, retailers, and customers from (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, St. Maarten, St. Kitts and Nevis, Jamaica, Turks and Caicos Islands, Grand Cayman, Suriname, Bermuda, Cuba, Canada, and the United States was held at the emblematic ¨Kura Botánica¨ Hotel, located in the famous and central area of ​​the city, Otra Banda.

The opening of the meeting was in charge of the distinguished and big player from Curacao Roland Colastica and the singer Merietza Haakmat who accompanied him with a master interpretation   as well as the Ernesto Paz Trio. During the exchange and in an atmosphere of evocation and history, attendees enjoyed a Cohiba, Siglo I.

A pairing between the renowned “Tarjeta Roja” Cocktail and the Habano, Hoyo de Monterrey Petit Robustos erved as the scenario  to share the festivities that were lived in those days around the FIFA World Cup, giving way to the long-awaited competition of the longest ash and in which 8 guests participated.

The leading Habano in the competition was Juan López Selection No. 2; and the winner was Mr. Daniel Kaiser from the United States of America.

After that, a pairing guided by Mr. Eddy Orlens Guerra, franchisee of Casa del Habano in St.Kitts and Nevis was done.

All those present had the opportunity to enjoy the Habano Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Especial, and the excellent rums Caney, Centuria, and Diplomático, Selección de Familia, made at the mythical distillery in Santiago de Cuba and Venezuela respectively. Hoyo de Monterrey, Epicure Especial is characterized by being a soft, woody and creamy Habano, achieving a perfect combination with the rums tasted. For the cutting and lighting the Habano, they used a set of cutter and lighter sponsored by Comercial Iberoamericana Company, (COIBA), based in Spain. Just to an end the activity, Caribbean Cigars Corporation N.V offered its guests a Cocktail with a traditional Curacao menu; and in which each one of the dishes stood out for the great delicacy in its preparation and decoration by Confetti & Company

The attendees enjoyed good traditional Cuban music, performed by the renowned international group from Curaçao ¨Los Compadres¨, as well as performances by DJ Doreen Woods and a traditional dance group from Curacao.

In addition, during the evening, the attendees had the chance to taste Bolívar Belicosos  Finos, and major Habano of the night: the 2020 Regional Edition for the Caribbean Diplomático,¨Reserva Exclusiva¨, (54 ring gauge x 150 mm length ), with factory name ¨Geniales¨, and a medium to full strength Habano.

With good music and the aroma of these Habanos, the night was closed, and the management of Caribbean Cigars Corporation N.V thanked the sponsors, collaborators, and participants for having accompanied them on this occasion; and invited them to participate in the 3rd. Edition of Habanos Caribbean Day, to be held in 2023.
