The 2018 UK Habanos Regional Edition, El Rey Del Mundo La Reina, was launched on Monday 1st July at The Churchill Bar & Terrace.

The Laguito No.1 vitola was selected by Jemma Freeman, Managing Director of Hunters & Frankau, who was inspired by an upturn in interest for slender cigars among UK smokers.

This size was originally immortalised by the Cohiba Lanceros which is still in production today, and the fabled Trinidad cigar of the same dimensions reserved for Diplomats and VIPs visiting Cuba in the 1970s.

The brand El Rey del Mundo (King of the World) was chosen because its delicate flavours and subtle aromas lent themselves perfectly to this slim shape and makes this Habano accessible to seasoned and new cigar smokers alike.

During the development of this Habano Hunters & Frankau invited a group of UK Specialists to form part of a panel which with their experience and delicate palate contributed to the selection of the blend according to the pattern of the brand , emerging the official blend for the 2018 UK Regional Edition – El Rey del Mundo La Reina.

Every single La Reina has been made Totally handmade with long filler – Totalmente a mano con tripa larga by the most qualified rollers to make this challenging size

3,500 boxes of El Rey del Mundo La Reina are scheduled to be produced and each box will contain 24 cigars.
